During his eight years in the game industry, Rafael has worked as a writer for
Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, SouthPeak Games, and numerous other developers
and publishers. Currently, he's writing three unannounced projects for Sony.
He has experience writing dialogue, creating storylines, casting and directing
voice actors, writing and directing cinematic sequences, and designing gameplay.
Chandler has worked as a writer on several projects, including
MAG (Massive Action
Game), SOCOM: Confrontation,
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter,
Rainbow Six: Lockdown, and
Ghost Recon 2.
Chandler is the author of
The Game Writing Handbook (which was nominated
for the 2007 Game Developer Front Line Awards), and also writes
Screen/Play,
a column at Gamasutra.com. He has been a speaker at the Game Writers Conference
and the Digital Game Xpo, and he taught the six-hour master class at the 2007 Russian
Game Developers Conference in Moscow. Chandler wrote
Monster Madness: Battle
For Suburbia, a comic book released by Dark Horse, and
Rainbow Six: Insurgence,
a web comic published by Ubisoft. He is also the writer/designer of
Dread: The First
Book of Pandemonium, a tabletop RPG of modern horror-action.
